APC appoints first three BDMs as expansion plan begins

7th November 2008 - APC have appointed its first three business development managers (BDMs) as it rolls out its plan to expand its regional presence. The new but highly experienced team members, who joined this week, will create the UK regional platform required for APC to double revenues within three years and triple them within five.

The new APC BDMs are:

Ryan Squire, previously director of operations for Broker Network Insurance Brokers, who joins to work with APC’s brokers in the Midlands and North Wales.

Paul Craig, who joins to work with brokers in North London and the East of England from retail broker Boothby Taylor, where he was both a director and business development manager.

Andrew Yemm, previously BDM for South West, Midlands and South Wales for Holmans, who joins the team to continue looking after the needs of brokers in the South West and South Wales.

Additional BDMs are also expected to join the company shortly.

Establishing a physical presence regionally will allow APC to build closer relationships with existing and new brokers across the UK by augmenting its current telephone and email communications with them. APC has segmented its target regions as the North West / North East and Yorkshire, The Midlands and North Wales, North London and East of England, South London and The South East, The South West and South Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland. This new approach will also bring a host of benefits for brokers including more frequent visits and faster response times. The BDMs will bring expert regional knowledge, so can provide detailed knowledge of local issues and emerging opportunities.

APC director Ian Russell said: “We are delighted to have been able to attract new BDMs with such a depth of knowledge. Ryan, Paul and Andrew will provide a great service to our brokers and will be APC’s experts on the ground.

“We have great relationships with all of our broker partners but want to provide them with the support they need when they need it and where they trade. The appointment of BDMs across the UK will do just that.”
